OOTD: NYFW Sporty Chic

New York Fashion Week as come and gone, but this season I’m proud to give you a play-by-play of what I was wearing. Be sure to stay connected as I share all my NYFW looks.

So, I totally obsessed over these Adidas track pants for weeks leading up to fashion week. Maybe events months. I originally thought to purchase the entire set, but settled that a full neon orange look my be overkill. I paired the pants with a classic white blazer and bodysuit. As always, Louboutin So Kates rounded out my look and I found this gem of a bag (pun intended) from Jeffrey Campbell to all spunk and extra color.

Did a nail the sporty chic vibe? Comment below.

OOTD: Pretty Young Thang

I had to know what all the Instagram fuss was about. Pretty Little Thing, a UK-based fashion retailer, has made an impactful dent in the social media sphere. With over 6 million IG followers, the brand caters to millennial girls with a flair for on-trend affordable looks.

I purchased this dress, along with 3 other items, and it did not disappoint. The fit on this dress is impeccable! It literally is spanx on steroids. The green midi smoothed me out and was uber comfy. Finally, I get the obsession.

In my signature style of pairing highs and lows, I wore the dress with my calf-hair leopard print So Kate Louboutins and a Louis Vuitton clutch.

OOTD: Neoteric Knits

I don't always style in knits, but when I do, I like them bold and bright! Imagine my delight whilst shopping through the Zara isles to find this vibrant look. The pairing of prints and bold colors is a new combination for me, but I can't not resist the opportunity to throw my stylish caution to the wind and slay.

I finished to look with my favorite pair of No.21 jeweled mules and sunnies from Forever21. The perfect mixing of high-end designers and fast fashion. Here's to trying new things!

OOTD: Layers of Slay

Don't be afraid to layer your style, especially in the warmer seasons. Light layering adds depth and dimension to your look.

In my stylish opinion, great layering starts and ends with a good leather jacket. My closet is full of them. In every color, mostly in a cropped tailored fit. I tend to shop Zara for all my leather outwear as they manage to present the most fashionable, on-budget trends.

For me, the look is best when the foundation of my layering is a basic, something build-able, like this tank dress from Naked Wardrobe. Then you add the flair! In my case, a mesh polka dot tank dress from Boohoo that sat in my closet for over a year.

So that is my layering formula: A Staple (leather jacket) + A Basic (white dress) + Some Flair (Mesh Dress) = SLAY!
